Proud to be Italian on the 150th anniversary of Unity

March 17th 2011 is the 150th anniversary of the Unity of Italy. It’s a national holiday (just this one year) and last night there was a “notte tricolore” – a late-night party in which everything was lit up in red, white, and green – the colours of our flag of course. BettaKnit is really proud to be Italian – our yarns and products are 100% made in Italy, and very specifically made in Prato, Tuscany’s textile district. There’s our pink dot on the map of Italy! We may be an e-commerce company with global ambitions, but we’re also very strongly tied to this historic place and its traditions of quality. More on that soon… I bet you’d love to know more about Prato, right?
